The role played by our volunteers is inestimable. So often this wonderful band of people work as individuals performing very specialized tasks. Our volunteers help our residents and staff to enjoy their lives, to be effective in what they do and, most importantly, volunteers create a great sense of community.
Volunteers work conscientiously right across the organisation in many areas, helping with companionship, fundraising, diversional therapy, maintenance, our shop, recycling, pastoral care, visitation and special functions. Many volunteers are from our independent villages and express quite openly how much they enjoy their involvement in this way as part of the Warrina Homes community.
Respite Care
Both of our Residential Care facilities offer Respite Care under the Commonwealth guidelines. People wishing to gain access to this service must hold an A.C.A.T assessment and bookings are made in advance. Respite bookings can be made for periods of up to twelve weeks.
Liaison Officer
Linking Services to Your Needs
Warrina Homes has its own full time Community Liaison Officer, employed to look after the wellbeing and lifestyle of our Retirement Village residents.
The Liaison Officer is available to arrange additional services and care at home, as well as to advise and assist in linking residents' needs to services which will help to meet those needs.
The Liaison Officer attends ILU Residents Committee meetings, Billabong Committee and Warrina Close/Court Community Centre meetings and is available to help residents wherever possible.
Our Liaison Officer operates under a strict code of confidentiality and, as residents, you are assured that your privacy will be respected.

• Hall Hire - Warrina Court, Warrina Park or Warrina Valley - Halls can be booked for special
• functions. There are conditions attached to the use of the halls. Fees are not high but cover the
• mandatory staff, and safety and operating requirements. Enquiries can be directed to the Liaison
• Officer.
• Personal care - assistance with daily living activities including showering, dressing, grooming, etc.
• Allied Health services - physiotherapy, podiatry, etc.
• Complementary therapies
• Car washing
• Transport - to and from appointments, etc.
• Pet care - grooming, walking.
• Hairdressing - through our facility located salons at Warrina Park and Warrina Court.
• Mobile hairdressing services can be arranged through the Liaison Officer.
