UPDATE A "rebuttal" (of sorts).
A New Age Magazine, called "Eagles Wing International" published in Australia, and available overseas, had an edition in March 1997 (Volume 5, No 2). A significant portion of this magazine was dedicated to channellers, psychics and others who wrote about Hale-Bopp.
Quotes from this magazine are included here as fair comment. You may be amazed, but I promise, these are exact quotes from this magazine.
There were plenty of other magazines doing the same stuff, and I am not singling this magazine out for ridicule, but it's a pretty good example of the stuff that went on around that time.
Starting with the editor, one "Alton", he talks about:
"As the human race has been recently showing strong desires to escape the illusion of 3rd dimension the divine consciousness that surrounds this planet is helping us to manifest the required cosmic thought to do so."
Then he goes on a few paragraphs later to say:
"I do feel that all we have been through is a prelude to what is to occur. The appearance of the Hale-Bopp comet certainly adds another dimension once again to this ascension process"
Then there is an individual, Dana Summer, from Victoria, who "channelled" someone called Ion of Ur from the city ship "Jerusalem"
"This is a self contained city ship of alliances of many races from all over the different galaxies and dimensions.....Its purpose is to travel throughout time and space where there is the most need for balancing polarity........" "............You will be given the opportunity to make contact with your galactic family and inheritance........." ".....those of you that wish to work with us on the surface will be openly received and greatly appreciated. Those of you who do not wish to continue on the Earth mission, you can enjoy any pleasure that is available to you so you can be released from the survival code....." ".....This city ship comes at a point in time and evolution to reinforce and instruct those that need our expertises in science and energy, as this is available to anyone".
He includes references to animals within the food chain being "stopped", and we would be given "other alternatives".
Further on, we read from Aluna Joy Yaxk'in, author of Mayan-Pleadian Cosmology. Apparently, Aluna is co-ordinator of the "Annual Worldwide Solar Ceremonies for Planetary Awakening", and lives somewhere near Mt Shasta (big surprise that). The article is entitled "Insight into the Hale-Bopp Comet, and it's Companion.
"An auspicious and timely message is coming to humanity. It is a message you yourselves put into orbit to help you at this time..... A message for you, is coming through the comet which holds a multidimensional frequency you will need for the next step into oneness and unity with your and other galaxies...... The approaching comet (Hale-Bopp) is the MESSENGER. It is a living spirit. It's technology is organic, fluid, natural and highly evolved. It is a part of you that you have lost. Do not jump to the usual 3D conclusions about what it is, or what it is about. Tune in to receive the message"
Later, Aluna says:
The comet is on an orbit of 3250 years. When we think like the Maya do in duality, this 3250 year orbit is one half of a 6500 year cycle that correlates to one of the Mayan Calendars!.
Dr Courtney Brown, of the Farsight Institute reported on a series of remote viewing sessions that were conducted by that auspicious body, and the Art Bell Radio show in the US received the report "live"
"The remote viewing results clearly suggest that the object was artificial in nature and that it was under intelligent control"
Kurt Wright, along with Roger Kerr, his guide Pi, Lord Pacal, Black Elk of the Lakota and several others "saw" Hale-Bopp. Kurt writes:
"The Hale-Bopp companion is a space station of such immense size that it qualifies as a free world, a bountiful and colourful manufactured, self contained planetary system bound to no star and free to move about the universe". "Roger and I travelled to the Free World on two consecutive nights, January 16th and 17th. At the space port on the 16th, the cylindrical starships, defined by Roger as space shuttles, frightened him, and he asked to leave. I was not frightened because I experienced them as something I was not afraid of; several long, thin U-haul trailers lining up to leave on a journey. Once inside the Free World space station planet, we visit the Mayan and Egyptian planetary systems, two of the 13 ecosystems that comprise the Free World. These ecosystems have portal time travel links to the time periods of their origins, and those time periods are linked by pyramid portals to other places at other times in the universe".
Dana Summer, again "channeling" Ion of Ur, says: "
As Hale-Bopp comes closer to the Earth's Portal the energy fields of light "neutral frequencies" will increase all frequencies. This is to accentuate the negativity within the grids of the portal vortices so that they are and must be confronted equally within the same space and time continuum. It is essential for all elements of creation in this sector and all over the cosmos to align to the Primary infusion that the Comet brings. As this comet is a celestial body and Primary Creator activator of the new information to be released into all, "the nuclei's core"...The negativity must be purged and allowed the same opportunity to transmute and align..... Hale-Bopp with its supporting companion will enter through the Earth's Portal vortex and many trillions of grid highways punching a hole, creating massive rushes of energies of light frequencies creating a chain reaction throughout this entire Portal vortex, and throughout all dimensions/space and time continuums. Enhancing and activating new balanced alignments that will protect what is can for the push for a merging and alignment...It will use the past, present and the future to preempt each living thing's reaction to see that it is aligning properly in it's true purpose. The separation will be gauged and recorded in and from each and every created being and element into its memory, etc, will bring the decline in those that can not perceive love in themselves. They must be given the same opportunities to align as our fleets mission is unconditional love and endorsed by the Creator itself.....""
ACCORDING TO SHELDON NIDLE..... (Sheldon Nidle is a con artist who is still peddling his crap, claiming he is in contact with "the Galactic Federation", through his computer, and using a special secret decoder. Incredibly, there are still idiots who are prepared to listen and believe his whacky claims).
The comet is really a large space ship that contains a crew of over 200,000 sentient beings that are coming to assist the 10,000 Ambassadors. Only the 10,000 Ambassadors will land to create the special "observer" colony in the region surrounding Ayers Rock in central Australia. The "comet" is being followed by a major Federation space station that has over 1.5 million sentient beings in its crew. In addition, there are occasionally some much smaller Federation ships that are escorting both vehicles toward an encounter with your planet.
STRANGE FACTS ABOUT COMET HALE-BOPP (according to the editor of the magazine)
HB was discovered 20 months from perihelion. Most comets are discovered a month or two out. It's rare for them to be found 3 or 4 months out. Kohoutek blew minds in 1973 because it was found 7 months out -- the farthest out ever. Astronomers still can not explain why HB was even visible that far out - well beyond Jupiter. Furthermore, HB was later discovered on an Australian observatory sky survey photo in 1993 - 40 months out.
HB's orbit is almost exactly 90 degrees inclined to earth. (89.4 something - I say something because it keeps changing slightly which is also very weird.)
HB also has the same orbital period as the 12th planet - 36 hundred years.
HB occulted the moon (the moon passed in front of it) this has never happened in comet history.
HB will be bright in the sky in Mongolia during a solar eclipse. This has never happened with any comet.
Somebody using comets is trying to communicate with the people of earth smart enough to see the signs. It's very clever. Not too "showy" like a huge landing of a space ship, but signs there for people smart enough to figure them out.

"The South American Mayan Indians foresaw the end of the current age with earth changing events in the year 2012. However, because of mistakes made in our calendar, is actually much later than we think. Astronomer Richard C. Hoagland famous for his studies on the "face and pyramid" on Mars, says if we correct our calendar to coincide with the Mayan calendar, the end of this age will come in 1997! More specifically, in March - April of 1997 - the time when Hale-Bopp is scheduled to arrive here!!
Anyone using Hoagland as a reference has got to be desperate. And the world did not change.
So then we come to one Tony Wicks, co-ordinator of the Brisbane Planetary Group. Along with the other contributors to this magazine, I hope these people are not longer spouting their rubbish. Tony's contribution to the magazine is outstanding, so I have included most of the text.
"Like many others, I thought we would have had many space visitors amongst us by the new year. However the timing was not right, mainly due to some stubborn interference from governments and their primitive secret weapons. Another complication occurred when a second photon belt punched a hole in the main belt just where our solar system was heading on New Year's Day. This was of course more divine intervention to alter our timing to full consciousness.
We have since been protected from a rough ride into the main belt by another hologram controlled by the Galactic Federation. This hologram effectively prevented us from experiencing several hours of darkness and red skies on January 1st. When the time is right, the hologram will be dissolved and Earth and the rest of our solar system will ascent to the next dimension and we will begin our new galactic life. The "right time" will be sometime before portions of the Hale-Bopp space ship land on our planet, due between late March and early May.
The mass landings will still occur about 10 to 12 days before most people are exposed to the full photon belt energies, closely followed by Earth's ascension. The Spiritual Hierarchy projected special energy patterns to all beings on Earth between January 30th and February 7th. These patterns adjusted our spiritual bodies so they could more easily accept higher frequencies in our transformation. Changes to interdimensional energies around us began on February 8th. Those people who are ready, will receive early full consciousness at the time of the second wave of the mass landings when the majority of counsellors arrive. This will increase the number of counsellors able to bring many unaware humans up to a higher level of awareness.
The appropriate Earth governments have been warned that no further interference will be tolerated. Our atmosphere will be swept clear of all aircraft, without loss of life, before the mass landings. Any military fighter aircraft in the air will have their ejector seats activated before aircraft are vaporized. In addition, all scalar and psychic weapons operated by governments were destroyed by February 15th and their remains teleported to Federation ships. All people associated with this technology received temporary amnesia to prevent more weapons being made. All computer memories and storage devices were also wiped clean. This course of action has been necessary and has been approved by the Federation's Spiritual Council. It does not interfere with our free will or the divine plan for our planet. In fact it allows easier access to a greater and truer free will, and full consciousness.
Hale-Bopp is the "proof" many people require to believe that extraterrestrial life exists. At last they can see a very large space craft and follow its progress towards Earth. Its nature and direction cannot be hidden from us forever. It has broken up (or will) into separate components. One will land near Ayres Rock (Uluru) in central Australia and set up a colony of 10,000 non-humanoids. These Federation ambassadors are the very loving beings that look like grasshoppers, ants, bears etc. They will not be part of our new governing body but will be very interested observers. Other components of Hale-Bopp will orbit Earth, some eventually landing to become Cities of Light for us to live in until it is time to move to grand cities underground.
According to the Galactic Federation, the companion of Hale-Bopp is the artificial planet known as Nibiru. It is 4 times the size of Earth and has visited our solar system many times in the past and made genetic changes to 'humanity". Sitchins describes it as our 12th planet and from information taken from ancient Sumerian texts, indicates it has an orbit between our solar system and Sirius A of 3,600 years. It has obviously changed its "orbit" this time. It is now part of the Federation and has been transmitting many messages to observatories and other centres on Earth. These messages have been kept secret under a code of silence by our fearful governments.
An article from Sedona Journal of Emergence, Zoosh channelled through Robert Shapiro, says the companion is much travelled in this and other universes. He says the rough English translation of its name is Ahsaawd-Hunie.
Now welcome Hale-Bopp and all it represents as a gift from the Source."

UPDATE: 6th JULY 2005 (yes, 2005) Every so often I try to reach out and find the crackpots who claimed all of this. I've never gotten a reply until now. I managed to contact Tony Wicks, and offered him space for a rebuttal.
