My trip to Nepal in 1985 made such an impression on me that in 1988 my wife and I decided to organise a private trip to Nepal accompanied by four others including my two previous travelling companions. On the first leg of the trip we walked from Pokhara to Siklis. This trek presented us with wonderful views of the Annapurnas and their neighbouring mountains. On the second leg we walked from Lukla to the spectacular Gokyo area which gave us a good view of Mt Everest. The trip was a great success and all of us still meet once a year to commemorate that wonderful occasion.
