About Us

Nepal - Annapurna Circuit

Early in 1985 a new Brisbane travel company was enlisting people to go on their inaugural trekking trip to Nepal. A friend of mine suggested we go, I enlisted another friend and so the three of us signed up. After a day in Kathmandu we were taken by bus to Dumre where we began our walk of the Annapurna circuit. After 21 days of trekking and camping and having crossed the 5415m high saddle of Thorung La we arrived at Pokhara. I enjoyed the trip immensly, so much so that on sighting near Pokhara the first cars we had seen in 20 days I felt a jab of sadness of having to retun to "civilisation".
