Canadian Rockies
As members of a group walking tour of the Canadian Rockies in 2000 Dot and I walked in the Mt Robson Provincial Park, the Jasper, Banff and Yoho National Parks and the Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park. The group travelled in a small van and our accommodation included hotels, hostels and lodges, some in remote locations without electricity or plumbing. The walks were wonderful and the scenery was very beautiful. A helicopter took us to Robson Pass to start a walk and a helicopter was also used to take us to and from Mount Assiniboine Park. We experienced a range of weather conditions, rain, wind, snow and extreme cold, but also many sunny days. Overall we had a wonderful trip, had some great walks and saw spectacular scenery.
