What is "Seconds to Give"?
Seconds To Give project was formed in 2005 to bring joy to small and impoverished villages in the Philippines through the distribution of second-hand clothing and other items from Australia.
A simple way of making a difference
The 2005 campaign of Seconds To Give culminated in the distribution of over 485 kilograms of second-hand clothing from Australia to the residents of the small, rural village of Barangay Sinubsuban on 10 December 2005 to coincide with Make Poverty History day.
Seconds To Give is administered by a Committee of energetic and committed volunteers. Its motto is "A simple way to make a difference". This embodies all that Second to Give is. The absolute joy and excitement experienced by each and every person living within these remote Philippine villages on the days of distribution is astounding. It really does touch your heart, knowing that such joy is a direct result of the generosity of a handful of Aussies.
