The Mallygators

L to R:   Miss Yellow, Miss Green, Mister Blue, Mister Red and a very bored Miss Orange.

OK, something must be wrong here, 2 updates in 2 days! It must be puppy love! Today we all ventured outside into the sun and had a wonderful romp on the grass (all except for Keira who was beside herself because the puppies kept wandering off and she had to go fetch them.) All puppies displayed wonderful temperament, free roming away from each other, chewing sticks and grass… Miss Green even found a feather! They were so much fun later after they had rested they came out again and were able to explore the living room. And, we have teeth through! Look out teats!

Puppies are now 21 days old, and what a wonderful lot (so far!) They sleep all night, but as soon as they wake up at 6 am, they demand to be fed! Luckily, Keira is a wonderful mum, and she gets onto them in a flash. Today was their first little adventure, a foray out into the living room which they handled very well. We love how even the litter still is, the colour is still lovely, and the faces are just adorable!

Puppies are now 8 days old. For those who are eagerly watching their development, we have now placed colour ribbons on the puppies. We have Blue and Red boys, and Yellow, Orange and Green girls. Hopefully, you will be able to pick a favourite and watch it grow. We already have ours, but are not telling yet! Puppies are now taking their first steps, and are regularly up on all fours bumbling around. Their eyes are soooo close to opening, and they are getting vocal with each other. Green girl is a little growler! Really cute! As you can see Keira still loves her sheepskin, and the puppies prefer it to the vetbed material as well.

Wow! These little fella’s are STRONG! Puppies are now 5 days old and have doubled their birth weight. All puppies averaged a gain of nearly 70 grams daily, and mum is in fantastic condition as well, and coping well. We’re not sure if it’s because she is suddenly slim again, but we feel Keira looks better now than she did before she became pregnant.
