Oliver in his hat

2004, the year of the child.

Okay so it is really the year of the monkey,
this may turn out to be fitting but at this point we still like to think of it as the year of the beautifull little boy, Oliver.10th March 2004 Oliver Daniel Mark O'Connor was Born to Franceyn and Mark at the Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney, Australia.

Time flys when you're having fun!

It has been a pretty busy time the last couple of years.
It started with a wedding. I figured 9 years was long enough ( I still dispute the 11 years claimed by Franceyn) and it was time I made an honest woman out of her, so after an oh so romantic proposal on the night of Franceyn's 40th birthday party, we arranged to be married in August 2003.
We also started with plans to renovate the house, and things were progressing quite well. After discounting the ready made "add a box" solutions we found a local architect whose work we liked, and what's more he was familiar with the macinations of our local council, notorius for approval delays. Several drafts later we are begining to see the sort of design we would like and prepared the plans for submission to Leichhardt council, and that is the stage we remain at, some 9 months later we are still waiting for the final yea or neigh from the powers that be.

Not having had enough excitement for one year we decided now was as good a time as any to look at increasing the size of our family. We had already been succesfull at increasing our own individual sizes so our thoughts moved to adding another O'Connor

Franceyn celebrates 40 big ones. Yes, it's official!
Life has begun for Franceyn, having marked in style her coming of age in December 2002. A cast of thousands descended upon Starling Street to show their support, confirm the stories of her popularity, and help drink the wine.

Franceyn and Mark marry "You are cordially invited.." so read the invitation to the wedding, but in fact most people turned up out of sheer disbelief that Mark would actually go through with it . . . . . . . .more to follow

I always wanted to be a.... Morris Dancer There is something about Morris Dancing . . . . . I don't know if it is the big beards, the sound of the bells, the delicate wave of the handkerchief or the lingering smell of hops and sweaty fat blokes. Whatever it is we just had to tack some down on our 2004 visit to the UK. Oliver was so excited he could hardly keep his eyes open.
