At last, after months and months of planning it was time for our trip. Having travelled
with contiki previously, there was never any other option as to who we would travel with again. On the
6th September 1998, my friend Tracey and myself set off on a 4 month holiday covering 3 countries
- USA, Indonesia and Australia.
We kicked off our travels on the New York Big Apple Explorer contiki
tour, which was our 2nd contiki tour after experiencing the Wild Western tour in 1995.
Our Big
Apple tour was followed by the 23 day Grand Southern tour from New York to Los Angeles.
After our contiki tours finished we spent time in Los Angeles, then Bali Indonesia and finally we
spent the closing 6 weeks of our leave travelling from Sydney Australia to Cairns in far north Queensland.
The USA is a fantastically diverse, often underrated country which we highly recommend to everyone.
There is no better way to see the USA than on a contiki tour.
