DEDICATION

This guide is dedicated to everyone who has ever gone climbing with me and a few others. Thanks especially to Madoc and Sarah for showing me the area and being as passionate about it as me, the Thorogoods for letting me train on their wall, and their dog, Danny, for biting me on the arse. Also to Kasia, for being an excellent reason to come home from climbing and for providing so many really bad names for problems, (Sweetness and Light?? Come on….).

But most of all, this guide is dedicated to Jason, who so many times came bouldering with me despite the fact he would rather have been rope climbing. Jason had more potential then anyone I have ever met, but he would also keep you entertained at Harvey’s, through his endless array of tricks, (Like nearly falling off problems after he had topped out, impersonating Dan Osman by speed soloing up a 5m high wall of dirt or by doing a flag off the army gate on returning to the car). Everyone who knew Jase has stories like that, and everyone who never got to meet him can trace a little piece of his life through the problems he did at Harvey’s. In his all to short life Jason impacted on everybody he met, and for most of us, that impact will remain for the rest of our lives. I am truly sorry that more people didn’t get to go climbing with Jason, and get their own Jason story to tell.
