Phillip and Simone Russell Stud Master: Phillip Russell Tenalba Border Leicester Stud is located on our farm 'Albert' near Canowindra, New South Wales, Australia. Our flock was established in 1976. We have great belief in the lamb industry and the ability of the Border Leicester breed to be an integral part of it. The Border Leicester breed has been developing in Australia for over 100 years, adapting and consistently performing in a variable climate. The breed is now progressing quicker than ever with the ability now for buyers and breeders to use genetic measurements (Lambplan) along with a stud masters abilities to produce a superior product. We are foundation members of the $uperBorder$ breeders group and have been involved with Lambplan for 14 years. This has given us very good background information on all our current stock and provides Australian Sheep Breeding Values with high 'accuracies'. Each year we hold an on property sale on the 3rd Thursday in September.
