Overview
Training Packages are the core part of the New Apprenticeship System.
As the name implies, Training Packages consist of a number of components
packaged together.
They include endorsed components (registered with ANTA) that ensure
national consistency and quality control and non-endorsed components that
allow an element of flexibility in design and delivery.
The Training Packages combine nationally recognised and endorsed
competency standards, assessment guidelines and qualifications and may
also incorporate a range of tools and resources to support training
delivery and assessment. Training packages can be tailored (within
guidelines) to meet special requirements for industry or an enterprise and
still satisfy the demands of a national qualification.
