Rex also designed the D.O.H.C. motor and was best known for his Tom Thumb side cars for lightweight bikes, to the side by side double seater.

  This picture shows a detail of the frame and suspension on the first machine above. The springs below thw gearbox provide suspension for the rear wheel.
