Organising a video crew in Australia for an American recording has its own set of problems.

Recognising the need for such NTSC production services, Project Television was established in 1987 to overcome those problems and provide complete international broadcast standard production services. Project Television soon became the first company in Australia to offer in-house NTSC camera crews and NTSC edit facilities.

With Betacam SP facilities in two major film production destinations, Sydney and the Gold Coast, we offer your production Australian bureaux staffed with on-location and post-production crews.

To shoot NTSC (525 lines/30fps designed for 110V/60Hz environment) in a PAL country (625 lines/25fps, 240V/ 50Hz), you have three choices:

• Bring your own equipment and crew (international transport / freight costs, carnets, customs delays, insurances, crew accommodation & no local NTSC support).

• Hire a local crew with PAL equipment (no NTSC support infrastructure, standards conversion costs which also incurs doubling the tape stock required, reduced quality of final product).

• Hire the local crew with NTSC broadcast cameras and edit facilities (Project Television - all obstacles removed).

After five years shooting EPK and BTS material for mainly American and Australian clients in the film, television and music industries, to cater for this specialised field Project Television created a new division called ‘Camera’s Behind the Scenes’.
