The Underwater Garden Video

Underwater Garden DVD

The Underwater Garden is a two-hour amateur video production, giving a full explanation and demonstration on how to prepare, set up and maintain a picturesque planted aquarium. The video was created by Australia's and Eastern Districts Aquarium Society's own experts from The Plant Study Group.

The picture below is a recent photo of the project tank completed in the Underwater Garden Video. This tank has not been stripped down since it was setup five years ago and is maintained by removing excess plants and performing regular water changes.

Eddie Tootell
Eddies interest in aquarium fish and plants started over 40 years ago. During this time he worked in the wholesale and retail aquarium business and also has been a member of the EDAS Plant Study Group for 25 years. Eddie is also a member of the Australia and New Guinea Fishes Association. At home in Melbourne Eddie has his own tropical plant room dedicated just to growing and establishing his own aquatic plants. Eddie is very well known throughout the Australian aquatic industry and devotes a lot of his time passing on his knowledge to any hobbyist willing to learn.

Neil Armstrong
During the 1970's, Neil worked with the National Herbarium which is part of the Melbourne Botanical Gardens on flowering and identifying Cryptocorynes. Neil is a foundation member for the EDAS Plant Study Group and is also a foundation member of the Australia and New Guinea Fishes Association. Neil has also enjoyed collecting Australian Native water plants and fish in the North/North Eastern parts of Australia. He is also a leading photographer of Australian Native fish and plant species.

This DVD is a revised and updated version of the original video. It contains approximately 12 minutes of additional material.
