Hobbies:

Amateur radio

I have been interested in electronics since a little boy (too many years ago). I think I built my first crystal set when 10 years old.  It worked.  I was first licensed as OK2PAL in former Czechoslovakia, then as VK2NEK after coming to Australia and shortly after I received my call sign of VK2BTA. As recently a shorter version of the call become available, so my call sign now is VK2BT. Have a look at my Web page on a QSL net.

I am a member of  Manly Warringah Radio Society and  Wireless Institute of Australia (New South Wales Division) .

Scuba Diving
An other great love - diving.  The world where we do not belong and only venture to see the wonders, which are so distant to our world above the waves and so exciting.  The nicest part is, that you can take photos or video of what you were able to see and then share the visual experience with friends.
Angel fish at Entrance bommie
One of the nicest places on Earth must be Lady Musgrave island, coral cay about 50 NM east of Gladston in Southern Queensland.  It is located within Great Barrier Reef National Park. The island is without tourist development, but camping is allowed.  The diving is magic as the photos above indicate.

Bushwalking in Kosciusco National park (500 km south-west from Sydney). Walk from Dead Horse Gap to the Tin mine hut. In the background you can see the Snowy peaks - Mount Kosciusko and Mount Townsend.
Who would not like to go bush walking. I think, that the nicest part of Australia offering of great variety  of outdoor activities is Kosciusko National Park.

Skiing

If you are inclined to enjoy the above sports,

no doubt, that you too, must be a skier.........
