Submission No 502: Northern Shoveler Anas clypeata, Lake Borrie, VIC, 8th September 1999 .  Submitted by:  Jon Starks.

Verdict:  Accepted

This submission relates to a sighting of a Northern Shoveler Anas clypeata from Lake Borrie, VIC on the 8th September 2006

As with most Australian records this bird was a male in alternate (breeding) plumage, consequently the committee resolved to accept the record and the photographs confirm the record beyond all doubt.

This is the 8th record of this species to be accepted by BARC.
