If you're blue and You don't know where to go to,
Why don't you go where fashion sits?
Putt'n on the Ritz!
The song was originally written in the late
1920's by Irving Berlin, back then it had quite an optimistic,
though decadent feel. It song was later performed by Fred
Astair in the movie 'Blue Skys', (I hope I don't make a mistake
here), in that version the tone is more pessimistic; reflecting
a Depression era outlook.
In the 1980's the pop singer 'Taco' did his own simplified
and very catchy version of the song.
This image is my tribute to a wonderfully catchy and lasting
piece of classic American pop-music.
