In most gardens, whether they are commercial gardens or hobby gardens, the sun provides all the lighting needs of the plants. Sometimes, however, due to bad weather, harsh winters, or just plain lack of outdoor space, we need to supplement or even replace the sunlight altogether. We can do this with the aid of Horticultural Lighting.
Incandescent lights are standard lightbulbs most commonly used in the home. For optimum plant growth we need a different spectrum. Our 100 watt incandescent GroLamp supplies just the right spectrum for plant growth.

Fluorescent Lighting is a very efficient form of lighting,
and is ideal for growing house plants or propagating cuttings and seedlings. For full
growth of sun loving plants, High Intensity Discharge lighting is more suited.
Fluorescent lighting fixtures come in NEW 1’, 2’ or 4’ versions and are 1’ wide with provisions
for 2 tubes. For the best of growth we stock Cool White in 18 watt (2’) & 36 watt (4’),
Grolux in 18 watt (2’) & 36 watt (4’). For propagation, a combination of grolux and cool
white tubes are ideal.
For small propagation boxes, a small Propagation Light is available. It consists of a small reflector with a 20 watt PL compact fluorescent lamp.

The NEW Spectrum 130W Compact fluorescent lamps combine the efficiency
of fluorescent lamps with an increased power output for total plant
growth. It will screw into any HPS lampholder and it needs a Spectrum Adaptor to
plug into the power.

Blended Light Lamps are a combination of an incandescent filament lamp and a gas filled high intensity lamp. With a price compartible with incandescent grow lamps, the 100 watt and 160 watt blended light lamp have a higher light output, a longer life and a suitable spectrum for plant growth.

The Ablite 2000 Silver reflector is now available in large to suit 1000W lamps or 2 x 600W lamps.
The NEW Just-a-Shade reflector is now available in 2 styles (See picture below same as Adjust-A-Wing). The Defender is a white coated, easy to assemble fully adjustable reflector. The Avenger is made from a Highly Reflective glass coated aluminium and is lightweight, easy to assemble and fully adjustable to suit any growroom. Both the Defender and Avenger are available in 2 sizes. Medium to suit 400 or 600w lamps or large to suit 1000W lamps.

To complement any horizontal reflector, the patented Super Spreader Heat Shield will take the hot spot from near the lamp and reflect the excess to the to the outer area of your garden. The small Heat Shield suits 400w and 600w tubular lamps, the large Heat Shield suits 1000W tubular lamps. The Super Spreader is now available in reflective aluminium.

Light movers are used to slowly move HID lights over your
garden giving more even light coverage, and also allowing a larger growing area
available than would be with stationary lights.
The Jupiter II is a linear light mover which will
carry up to 22 kg in weight. It comes with an easy to install 2 metre track
which can be extended to any length. The Jupiter II has a completely sealed
instrument grade drive motor which travels 60cm per minute. For easy expansion,

Easy Roll Light Hangers are the simple solution for adjusting your lamps
As all growers are aware, the distance between the plant and the light is essential for both the quality and quantity of the crop. We have therefore developed a new suspension
Easy-rolls is a suspension system for lamps which allow
them to be adjusted in height in one simple movement.
The Easy-rolls package
comprises of two Easy-rolls and all you need to install them. Using this
package, you can suspend one lamp so that it can be adjusted in height quickly
and smoothly.
A set of Easy-rolls can hold a maximum of 10kg. which
amply covers all the lamps which are currently available on the market.
The
Easy-rolls are adjustable in height by more that 110cm and can therefore be used
for all ages of plant. from cuttings to cultivatable crop.
