Guild Constitution

 

 

 

WHY HAVE SO MANY RULES?

Think of this as our anti-scumbag device. We make people read this when they join the guild, so if they act like a scumbag, we can remove them without them wondering why.

Each point of the guild constitution has in fact been designed to combat a problem we have encountered in the past (and more will be added for any problems in the future)

The constitution is not to give the impression that the guild is only about raiding and/or is hardcore. We are simply trying to prevent people from spoiling other guildies time whilst online.

 

 

GUILD CONSTITUTION

  1. All guild members are to read this constitution – once they have agreed to it, they are to send an in game mail to Neoraven to acknowledge this. If a current guild member does not agree to this constitution, he/she may remove themselves at any time.
  2. Guild only raids – Our previous raids are to now be guild only. Invites to the raid are only going to guild members, and if we do not have enough, we will then find other raiders outside the guild to fill the gap. If a guild member turns up no less than an 30 minutes after the raid start time, any non-guild members will be subbed out to offer him/her a place in the raid.
  3. No DKP – The guild raids will be DKP free, all loot will be rolled on. The only exception to this rule are new, non-guild raiders who will be asked to pass on their first week of raiding, but will be able to roll on subsequent raids. Players that obtain loot are to be congratulated. There is to be no bad sportsmanship, such as offering to buy loot or complaining one person deserved loot more than another....this will result in a week long ban from the raids and guild kicking for repeated offenders.
  4. Guild Ranks – All ranks are hereby under review. To proceed past member rank, guild members MUST put the guild raid times first before any other guilds/raid groups instance runs and/or raids. You dont need to raid with us to be in the guild, but people who choose that path will not benefit from the guild bank.
  5. Guild Bank Access – All guild members with Veteran or higher rank will have access to our guild banking facilities.
  6. Guild Chat – STRICTLY NO RP IN GUILD CHAT. Some people are unable to distinguish the difference, and we would prefer to get to know you, not your RP persona.
  7. Guild Loot – Loot offered in guild chat is to be made available to guild members with Veteran rank or higher ONLY. If no one of that rank or above would like the item, then the person offering it is to either vendor the item or send it to our guild bank. Guildies MAY NOT charge or ask for gold for crafting items for other guildies - if a tip is given, fair enough - But it is NOT to be asked for.
  8. Conduct – Racism, homophobic statements, abuse of any kind or political non-sense will not be tolerated from this point on. The council is to make examples of these people in front of the entire guild. Serious breaches of this are to incur an official warning, second offenders are to be removed from the guild immediately. This also includes certain terms: one reoccurring word that is constantly used is hereby banned, the word rape. Guild members should require no explanation as to why.
  9. Ventrilo – Ventrilo access is guild members only. Non guild members are able to use the ventrilo server only if they are currently in a raid with us. At no other time are non-guild members to be on the ventrilo server, or they will be kicked once and banned for repeated attempts.

GUILD MEMBERS BREACHING THE ABOVE WILL BE WARNED ONCE - THEN REMOVED FOR THE NEXT OFFENCE

 

 

 

PROBLEM REPORTING WITHIN THE GUILD

These are the following steps to take if you have problem with something/someone in the guild. These steps must be followed. You can however skip these steps and go straight to the guild master, however he will make a snap decision then and their on the spot and his decision is final.

  1. Gather Evidence - You will need screenshots to back your claim up if it is against another guildie. If it is just a general problem, you will need to provide an example of the problem. NO SCREENSHOTS means no complaints....any complaints without a screenshot is to be forwarded to Neoraven, who will immediately remove the accuser on the grounds of trouble making.
  2. Approach an Inner Council Member - This person will take down your name and the details of the problem.
  3. Wait for a response from a High Council Member - You will be contacted no later than 48 hours with a decision from the Council and Guild Master.

Wait a minute, what are the steps I dont see?

  1. An Inner Council Member receives a complaint - This person then talks to a High Council member, explaining the problem and presenting any evidence on behalf of the member.
  2. A High Council Member is approached by an Inner Council Member - The HCM then discusses the problem with an Inner Council Member and makes a decision as to what will happen to either correct the issue, or remove anyone genuinely infringing the guild constitution.
  3. The High Council Member will approach the guild master via mail - The Guild Master will then either agree with the decision, which will be placed immediately into effect - or I will disagree and speak more with the HC and IC members as to why, then a decision will be made.

What if i just quit the guild without saying anything?

Then unfortunely you have resigned from the guild and will not be welcome back to our ranks. Your alts will be removed and we will not chase up why you left. If you are pissed off with something in the guild. Either report it straight away and wait for a decision to be made OR logoff for the night, sleep on it and report it the next day. If people leave, they leave for good.
