RailNet Diesels - SD45 & E8A

A pair of ageing, grimy RailNet SD45s (Kato) haul an empty unit train past the stub end of the disused spur line.

I love round nose units so the RailNet is keeping these E8As (Life Like) in revenue service. In real life, round nose units, albeit GM "CLP" & "CLF" classes (E8 "look-alikes") still haul interstate double stack container trains here in Australia (Click here to see photos). Because the RailNet's E8s are still used to haul passengers as well as freight, they are kept a lot cleaner than their freight-only cousins.
