Mud 2 Front End The Mud 2 Front End is a rather large download, so I have split it up
into the main program and two sets of sound files. To properly experience the
program you should at least download the SoundEffects file as well as the
main program. If you have already installed the previous version you only
need to replace the .exe file and (optionally) download and install the
background sounds. To install the program download the MudFeprogram.zip file unzip it
into a temporary directory. Then run the setup program. To install the sounds download the appropriate zip file and (this is
important!) unzip into your base install directory (default is "Program
Files/McFrolick/Mud2 Front End/". You then need to run the appropriate
decompress batch file (find it in windows explorer and double click). For the
sound effects its "decompress.bat" for background sounds its
"BackGDecompress.bat". they will then transform the mp3 files into
wav files. If you want you can now delete the mp3 files. You can obtain the files here:

I have put the help files on-line here. I
have also put the sounds on line individually (so you can check them
out/download them) here. If
you want to incorporate a single sound simply put them in the correct place
in your MudFE base directory (the directory tree of the site should reflect
the directory tree of your Mud2FE directory. I
apologise in advance for the Tea Room background sounds (if anyone would like
to forward me some more appropriate sounds...)
