The Strathfieldsaye Lions have participated in raising a lot of money for the community. Two of the most satisfying projects are illustrated here.
In combination with the Eaglehawk club we helped raise money for a special needs vehicle for a child who needed wheelchair access. The late Michael John (Liberal Member for Bendigo) shown 2nd from the right was instrumental in helping us with our club projects.
Another project, perhaps the largest undertaken by the club was the purchase of a van for a family who needed special transport for their medical problems and assistance for visits to Melbourne Hospitals.
