Independent Legionella Audits

Legionella Compliance Consulting’s (LCC) independent Legionella Audits have been designed to give you and your organisation the confidence that your Legionella Risk Management Plan and quality of servicing are compliant with current industry best practice procedures, AS3666, The Plant Code of Practice 2005, and the Work Place Health and Safety Act 1995. LCC will also help to ensure that, when required, you can demonstrate to the Department of Workplace Health and Safety that your Legionella Risk Management Plan procedures and documentation are fully compliant.

Most people assume that their organisation has an adequate system in place for the control of Legionella and biofouling until something goes wrong! When a Legionella incident occurs it is always a very traumatic and expensive experience for all those involved.

LCC’s independent Legionella Audits will give you the confidence that your Legionella Risk Management Plan and quality of water treatment services are compliant with current best practice procedures and the latest legislation and guidelines. Our independent audits examine not only the risks associated with the systems, but we also clarify the responsibilities and duties of the water treatment providers who are involved in the preventive maintenance and management of the cooling water systems.

An independent audit will examine your systems and procedures before making detailed, site-specific recommendations. This normally involves a review of your existing Legionella Risk Management Plan (if you do not have one, it may be necessary to create one), checking your existing procedures against best practice and current legislation and making specific recommendations to enable compliance.

For sites that are non-compliant we will work closely with the client to ensure that a compliant plan is created and implemented as quickly as possible.

For sites with an existing Legionella Risk Management Plan the auditors' role would be to ensure that the client’s water treatment service providers discharge their agreed duties. The independent role of the auditor ensures that those with the ultimate responsibility can confidently demonstrate that they are fully compliant with current best practice procedures and relevant legislation.

The benefits of using a truly independent auditor are numerous. They include:

Confidence; demonstrate to the authorities that your Legionella Risk Management Plan , documentation and procedures are fully compliant with current best practice and relevant legislation.

→    A fresh approach by an experienced industry specialist can often spot those overlooked potential risks.

→    A truly independent, unbiased review free of any conflict of interest ensures that you get what is best for you and your organisation.
