The Liberal Catholic Church is an independent and autonomous church,
not Roman Catholic, but Catholic.
What we believe
We believe that God is Love, and Power, and Truth, and Light; that perfect
justice rules the world; that we shall all one day reach his feet, however
far we stray. We hold the fatherhood of God, the unity of all that lives;
we know that we do serve him best, in service freely given. So shall his
blessing rest on us and peace for every more.
How we worship
When we gather together as a community, we usually celebrate the Eucharist,
and all present are welcome to receive communion. We recognise the seven
traditional sacraments: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Absolution,
Marriage, Ordination, Unction.
There is a glossary
of terms in our online library.
Our liturgical year is similar to other Catholic churches, but there are
some important differences.
We keep an online calendar
for your information. The calendar includes readings and prayers for each
Sunday and feast day.
