LBUG Sunday Rides are held most Sundays. They usually (not always!) start at 830am at the Bakehouse Cafe in Moore St, Leichhardt (200m down from Balmain Rd). Meet earlier for a preride coffee. Rides open to non-members (small donation appreciated), you can join later if you wish. We are a touring and leisure group of mixed age and ability. There are rides of varying grades to suit all abilities. New or returning cyclists can try our EasyRiders every month. We try to keep the group together so no one is left behind. We appreciate riders on our easy to moderate rides who are prepared to help with duties such as pointing the way or helping slower riders.

Proposed weekend two or three day rides are included - times or routes may be changed as the year goes on. Check for latest details closer to the time.

A note on Insurance- If you are a member of BicycleNSW you are insured for any injury you cause to other people (including other cyclists) or damage to their property when riding. You also get as part of the membership limited personal injury insurance for injuries to yourself. Join BNSW online at www.bicyclensw.org.au.

SPRING

Sept 7 Sunday. EasyRider #9. Morning spin. 25 km E MAM 830 am.

Sept 14 Leichhardt to Watsons Bay via Bondi. 40 km M/H

Sept 21 Sunday. Hornsby to Berowra via Galston and Berowra Waters. MAM 7.45 am.Train from Strathfield at 8.28 am. 50 km M/H. Hilly. Bring food or buy at Berowra Waters cafe.

Sept 28 Grand Final day. Who cares, go for a ride. LBUG Challenger. Contact Grant.

Oct 4/5/6 Staying in Nowra and doing day rides around the Shoalhaven area. Car share or train to Nowra. A group may ride part of way (from Waterfall to the Gong) because of trackwork on the Saturday. Still some vacancies. Contact Bob ASAP.

Oct 12 Sunday. Big Leichhardt Bike Day. Community event for cyclists of all ages.10 am to 2.30 pm, War Memorial Park, cnr Catherine and Moore Sts, Leichhardt. (east of Balmain Rd, not Pioneer Park on Norton St).Free BBQ, stalls, events, Community Ride at noon, 10 km around the foreshore (Easy).. Volunteers wanted. Support cycling and LBUG.

Oct 15 Wednesday. National Ride to Work Day- join the crowds! Get a kit from BNSW for your place of work. Register for chance to win prizes.

Oct 19 Bicycle NSW Spring Cycle -Starts North Sydney Oval. Finish at Olympic Park. Enter from BNSW website at www.bicyclensw.org.au.

( Oct 26 Sunday. Fitz's Challenge. ACT. Several rides of varying difficulty around the ACT mountains. Some people are going- enquire if interested).

Nov 2 Sunday. The Gong Ride (enter at bike shops or through MS). 75 km Join the LBUG team. M/H. Contact Bob.

Nov 9 Weekend tour- Oberon or Bathurst area. Heather.

(Nov 14/15/16.A possibility- Shoalhaven Bug weekend, stay in Nowra Fri/Sat, do day rides. Contact: Judi Puru )

Nov 23 Sunday Easy Rider #10. MAM 830 am.

Nov 29 Saturday. Springwood to Katoomba. Day ride option or stay at YHA and link up with the next ride on Sunday morning. MAC for 8.02 am train to Springwood. Leader: Grant.
Nov 30 Sunday. Day 1 riders at the YHA can have a leisurely breakfast in Katoomba before meeeting any day riders who might catch an early train up and meet at around 9am for the downhill from Katoomba to Penrith. 50 km. M.

SUMMER 2008-9

Dec 7 Easy ride #11- MAM 830 am. Morning spin. Bruce.
Dec 15 End of year Inner West BUG's Picnic Ride. Harbourside picnic, with a morning ride. Meet at Moores cafe, 930 am.
