The County
About five years ago, David, on impulse as usual, saw a red County advertised...he had always fancied getting a lovely TDI Defender but our Tattslotto numbers sucked badly.
He bought the latest and last one...and has finally conceded that he has a land rover with perfect modifications....he put in a 4.2L engine, a newer PTO winch, front and rear difflocks, six speaker MP3/CD player, great suspension, roof rack, three sets of tyres for every conceivable situation, CBs, Engel stand, spare wheel carrier. He's always welding in the garage and triggering off the safety switch with his latest project. Where does it end? :-)
Here is the newer filthy beast after some four wheel driving with the Land Rover Owners Club. He hasn't washed it for the last two months, almost as a badge of honour because it shows up the neighbour's pristine Pajero that never gets dirty or scratched. A landie isn't a landie without some high-quality panel damage either. Look near the petrol cap.
