Kustoms of Australia invite you to be a part of the 7th Kustom Nationals, which will be held at Phillip Island Victoria on January 9-11th 2009. The Kustom Nationals is the Holy Grail of the kustom car movement in Australia, when once a year the stage is set for all lovers of modified vehicles, to come together to witness the latest offerings of the kustom car kulture, from mildly kustomized cruisers to krazy kustoms! The Kustom Nationals is the means to help you express your view of automotive art , with representatives from top national and international magazines as well as auto related television shows present to broadcast our kustom lifestyle to the world! The Kustom Nationals is a three day fun filled party, starting on Friday January 9th at the gorgeous seaside township of Cowes when Kustoms and Hot Rods take over the town for the duration of the annual Beach Party. During the day you get to cruise around the picturesque holiday resort, and later in the afternoon the bands set up down the end of main street with the bay as a backdrop, entertaining enthusiasts till late in the evening. There’s plenty to do during the Beach Party, with numerous cafes, hotels, and other interesting establishments surrounding the main street which is being closed to normal traffic for exclusive Kustom & Hot Rod parking. Saturday you will be treated to the Rockabilly Festival held at the Grand Prix track from 8.00 am till 8.00 pm, with non-stop music featuring the cream of Rockabilly bands from around Australia, and later in the evening the bands relocate to local hotels and the party continuous! Sunday the emphasis will be on non-stop cruisin’ of the famous Phillip Island Grand Prix track, while some Rockabilly bands will continue to provide entertainment. Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit takes centre stage on Saturday from 8.00 am till 6.00 pm, with non stop Rockabilly and Cruisin’ action, kewl people... and wild cars!. Those that attended the last four Kustom Nats know what it means to cruise the finest ribbon of bitumen in Australia, just make sure you have a tanker tag along so you don’t have to leave the track for any reason. Once again a kewl car will be dropped and chopped over the weekend in the annual Kustom How-To, (this time a '54 Ford Victoria glasstop) the trend setting and most informative such operation in the whole world... bar none, where you’ll get the chance to pick up some helpful hints from the masters, or maybe the Pinstriping Workshop is more your style, where you’ll get to see plenty of demonstrations from the experts, including some hands on instruction (pinstriping kits will be available for purchase).

From 6.00 pm entrants will cruise in the annual parade around the street of Cowes till at least 8.30 pm, with a laid back show & shine taking place at the foreshore reserved entrant parking area. From 8.30 pm we're cruisin' down to San Remo for even more Rockabilly action at the Westernport Hotel featuring the Flyin' Saucers and the Detonators. Man... we're gonna rock ya!

Sunday we're back at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit from 8.00 am till 5.00 pm doin' what it takes to have the best fun possible, and what happens for a short period during Saturday and Sunday will blow your mind... gettin' to cruise the full length of the famous Grand Prix track. Man... this is Nirvana. Hot Rod Tattoo show, Model Car exhibition & show, Kustom Kulture Art exhibition, Hot Rod & lifestyle traders, Lowrider bikes, Mini Rods, Muffler Rap, Flamethrower exhibition, Charity auction, and much much more…No Dogs Allowed!

Some of the fabulous bands that will be featured on the weekend (subject to change) will be...The Flyin' Saucers, Wild Turkey, Pat Capocci's Barnburners, The Detonators, Blackhill Ramblers, Crash Cadillac, Gatorbait, Rockin' Daddies, Shackin' Paulie & the Cruisers, Atomic Hi-Tones, Flatfoot Shakers, 4-tress. .
