I am not in business, but a home hobbyist, with a cheap alternative for you to get your personal spot on the web.

THE BORING STUFF - SORRY! There are many things I may need to know to get started with your site and some of them may be:- Does your ISP offer free web space and how much is available - often up to 5 megabytes or more? If none then there is free web space on offer all over the web although your site will usually be subjected to free advertising by the provider. What access does your ISP have for you to upload your page(s) eg FTP uploading program or what? Also what is the directory that this is to be done in? (Don't panic as this can be done just with a phone call) You will have to come up with some idea of how you want your page layout to be and in particular the text you want on it. What pictures etc you want? Remember to keep it fairly simple so it does not take forever to load as visitors will just move on and not wait. (Also remember I prefer not to get into complex pages and my fee is based on that - smile) I, with your input, can come up with ideas to help. I can make it all up myself but past experience shows that that does not always satisfy you! We will have to obviously dfiscuss payment arrangements and I will require some form of deposit to get started and this is one reason why I prefer to deal with local people. Another rason is your input is much easier if we can at least sit down together before start the whole process and later if needed (although not over critical) Will you want a guestpage, counter and / or tracker? It will help me to know what Internet browser and version you are using along with what graphics resolution you are running at. If unsure, I can help you to find this out. Should you want too much more than the 1 to 2 A4 pages or future maintainance we can discuss up front an amicable fee for that should it be necessary Your page, if you wish, will be linked to several popular search engines which will assure you soo are getting visitors to your site. (NB that search engines are not known for their prompt listings but that is just how it is and before long you will be getting visits) As part of my lower costs I ask that I be able to place a link at the bottom of your page(s) back to one of my Web Design Pages. The link can be one of the two animated graphics you can see immediately below or a simple text link. (a graphic link being the default - please choose one if you wish). The link is to stay on your page(s) as long as I exist on the web and should I (or you) move ISP I reserve the right to have the links updated on your site.
