Silence before the storm
A quivering, daunting time
Within the moment
All seems so clear
A sky so blue, a day so bright
Future, so warm and comforting

Gail, wind and thunder
The moment of joy vanishes with the onslaught
Dreams of what could be shatter into shards
Shards which slice at my very soul
Leaving me tattered and torn...
I am cough in the open

The first icy drop of rain
Shivering down my spine
A grim warning to take cover
Too fare have i come to run
Anaive belief;
The warmth i have towards thee will shelter me.
So wrong, the warmth of any fire
No enough for what is too come
A wall of destruction
The four horsemen of the apocalypse
Slaughtering my hopes, my dreams
Leaving me soaked and in despair

As quickly as it began the storm has passed
The pain and resentment, merely now my past
For after every storm, every battle within...
A rainbow, a rainbow embraced by the sky
Its beauty, unmistakeable
The true nature of the storm
Its seemingly destructive purpose, ambushing me
Only to share this rainbow, this amazing symbol
A symbol of what we have overcome
What our friendship has survived

And with the end comes new life
Flowers once drooped and withered
Now bloom and embrace the sun
(drawn to the rainbow)
Children play, and birds sing
The world is alive with laughter and joy
Joy, caused by this rainbow
You are my rainbow...
My best friend...
I will love you 'till the very end
