After purchasing the superb Creation Workshop program for my PC, I realised that the Champions system has a cap on how many extra
OPs a character can get from Complications. However, the only mention of such a cap is on page 23 in the Starting Points
section, where it says:
"...we recommend the character start with ... 50 Option Points (which you can increase up to 100 through
Complications.)"
However, when you play around with the power levels in Creation Workshop, you notice that the Complications cap increases and
decreases, as if that should be a dial also. When I mentioned this to Bruce Harlick, he agrees that there should be a dial. He also
says that complications will be fixed in VOTOMS.
For those who don't want to wait, or who don't want to buy VOTOMS (I'm one of them), the rule on the Complications cap is simple: the
maximum amount of OPs you can get through complications is equal to the amount of OPs granted by the power level.
