The Festival Weeks:
New Year Fete Week:
This week occurs
between the start of the new year and the first month. It is a month
to celebrate the coming of the new year. Every year this is
celebrated in Coruscant with a massive parade of the Empire’s technology and power.
The Festival of Life:
This week occurs between the 6th and 7th months, and is a celebration which has
been carried down through the millennia. The week originated from the human
core worlds and is a week of parties, family times, and
gift-giving.
The Festival of Stars: This
week occurs between the 9th and 10th months, and celebrates the
ability to travel among the stars. Many people take interstellar
vacations during this week.
The Festival days are:
Remembrance Day:
This day occurs on the 19th day of the 3rd month and is a day of remembrance to all
of those who have fallen in the defence of the New Order. It
should be noted that this holiday used to be called Republic Day,
but the day's meaning has not changed.
New Order Day:
This day occurs on
the 9th day of the 8th month, and is a celebration for the great
Emperor, who has brought peace and order to the galaxy once more. It should also be noted
that this day was once called Supreme Chancellor's day
before the coming of the Emperor.
New Year's Eve:
Although not listed, this day occurs on the 36th day of the last month of a year.
It is a remembrance of the year about to pass, and a
celebration of the year to come.
Labour Day: This
day which occurs on the 19th day of the 10th month is a day where the
work performed by each individual is celebrated. This day has been
the day used by many organizations to protest against the Empire's
failure to employee aliens in its ranks.
