Help for the beginner to intermediate VBA programmer

In this issue I have attempted to provide tips and resources for beginner, intermediate and advanced VBA users. I hope there is something for every one!

~ VBA in GENERAL ~

Although this issues tutorial might be "small" in size, it is "big" on content, as it looks at how to make Windows API calls. Included is an link to an excellent API reference source and article. Have a look at tut9.htm. [ SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate ]

~ VBA in WORD ~

This tip applies mainly to using WORD, but can be used to collect information for a VBA project.
Make use of the "Help|What's This" menu item, which can also be accessed by "Shift+F1". Use it to find out what the menu items are and what formatting has been applied to a particular selection.

~ COOL WORD RESOURCE ~
A MS Word Tip on how to automatically open and run a macro on WORD documents @ MS Word Developer.

~ VBA in EXCEL ~

[ FOR ADVANCED EXCEL USERS ]
Excel contains a powerful statistical engine that can be used to complete such complex tasks as 'Risk Analysis', 'Financial Forecasting' and 'Option Pricing Models'. One of the best online sources for information on such topics is Anthony's VBA Page.

~ COOL EXCEL RESOURCE ~
For an excellent tip that shows you how to get data validation messages to pop up automatically as you tab from field to field, without getting error message on protected fields, have a look at this new tip @ vbspro.com.

~ VBA in ACCESS ~

Using VBA in ACCESS is not one of our strengths, although we are working on it. So, in this section, we will just point you towards some excellent resources.
