SCREEN ONE:
This is a screen shot of the “costing_date_rate.doc” file, where the data is stored. You can see it is very easy to set up with the three pieces of information, the ID, the date and the charge rate. The name of this file can be changed to whatever you wish, as the costing macro will automatically select the correct file by looking for the correct data in the information table, where you setup the columns to be used in your template file.



SCREEN TWO:
This is a screen shot of the “Costing Demo.doc” file. The cursor has been placed in the charge cell, where the automatically calculated charge is to be inserted.



SCREEN THREE:
This is a screen shot of the Costing Toolbar menu item being selected.




SCREEN FOUR:
This is a screen shot of the Costing Demo.doc file, where the correct charge has been calculated based on the information contained in cell two, the date, cell 4, the ID, and cell 5, the unit rate, being hour units in this example.



SCREEN FIVE:
In this screen shot of the Costing Demo.doc file, because the correct rate was inserted into a cell in the last row of the table, a new row has been automatically added and the cursor move to the date cell, ready to start entering information.
(Note that the item number is automatically generated using the autonumber feature in WORD.
