Does size matter? We at Sinner Computing say with a loud proud voice, yes! Large and inefficiently written programs not only mean more space taken up on hard drives, but load and response times suffer. Furthermore, most computer users have running several major programs at once which can consume system resources quickly. All Sinner Computing software is monitored to not use too much memory resources, or drain CPU speed. This is especially important for programs that stay resident. For these we take special care; GigAlarm, for example, has been tested on a Pentium II 350 for a few weeks with more than 50 repeating alarms and was found to use less than 30 seconds of computer time each week. Why is our software different? While not the only reason, using 100% Assembly Language for everything, including our installer and programming editor, is a major factor. Most other languages prioritize a quick result with a minimum of work over producing an efficient program. But we don't stop there. We strive to write programs that people actually want. For this reason we read and respond to almost all EMails, and in most cases will implement all reasonable improvement requests. Egg, for example was never supposed go past version 1.0! Every feature that Egg has today was requested, and it is now one of our most popular programs. Furthermore, while some of our programs probably will not be developed further, all of our programs are still supported. Many of Sinner Computings programs have received excellent reviews on various websites, and in total our software has achieved over 500,000 downloads.
