I define it as an incurable mental condition that once the genealogy bug has infected you, you are hooked for life!   The more you find out the more questions are posed, the more you want to know...... frustration and excitement - often in rapid succession. 

A few years ago I had a great grandfather with a wife and 7 children......... by luck or just good digging I found a former wife & child, then another defacto spouse and 2 sons........ that ancestor ended up with 3 wives (at different times of course) and 10 children................
