Apple Berry, Dumplings Family: Pittosporaceae This climber is common in woodland undergrowth, growing to about 3m in length. The soft, pale green leaves are narrow and lance shaped, 3-5cm long, with wavy edges. They can have a furry appearance when young. The bell-shaped flowers are cream-yellow. A single flower droops from the end of the branches. The common names for this plant come from the fleshy, cylindrical fruit, which is very tasty when ripe, having turned from green to purple. |
