Parramatta Green Wattle

Family: Mimosaceae

This wattle grows to about 8m high, in woodland on dry shallow sandy or clay soils.

The dark green bipinnate leaves are very finely divided, with 20-35 pairs of pinnules, 3-5mm long. A distinguishing feature is the presence of glands at the base of each leaf division.

Flowers are pale yellow. Flowering time is November - February, later than Acacia decurrens, a very similar wattle.
