Family Tremandraceae Tetratheca shiressii
A wiry shrub with thin stems commonly 50cm tall. Some stems are hairless, with narrow opposite leaves, others on the same plant have brown hairs and groups of 3 or 4 broader leaves. The flowers are large and borne on a slender hairless stalk. Flowering: late winter to spring Habitat: Heaths and open forest Distribution: Not common in the Sydney area, but commonly found around Wattamolla in the Royal National Park.
