Family Proteaceae Grevillea buxifolia ssp. buxifolia - grey spider flower
Diagnosis: An erect shrub with tiny leaves which are crowded along the branches. Leaves and branches are covered in dense brown hair. The flower heads are terminal and pinkish-grey in colour. They are covered with dense white hair. The styles are curved, and recurved at the tip. Flowering: September - November Habitat: Open forest and heath, on sandy soils Distribution: Widespread and common in Sydney from the coast to the mountains, extending to the NSW south coast. site owned by Capricornica Publications Natural History Books |
