Bonnet orchid
An inconspicuous orchid that is quite common in bushland. The flower stalk is up to 40cm long, and arises from
a rozette of three dark green, broad leathery leaves. Flowers are green and brown, with the labellum forming a hood
and the other flower segments greatly reduced.
Habitat: sandstone soils, in open forest, slightly moist positions, under trees. Often grows in dense stands.
Flowering: Summer
Distribution: Coast and tablelands, also SE Qld and eastern Victoria
