Red beard orchid
Plant with a single narrow erect leaf and a stem to about 30cm high, on which there are up to 8 flowers. The labellum tapers to a long, straight point, and the top part is covered in long dark red hairs.
Habitat: sandstone soils, moist spots in open forest and heath.
Flowering: Spring
Distribution: coastal zone Australia-wide, except in WA, New Zealand
