Plants of Sydney
Welcome to the Plants of Sydney website. This site aims to enable locals and visitors to identify some of the most common and conspicuous species of native plants around the Sydney metropolitan area. At the moment the selection of species is very much biased towards the vegetation of the sandstone plateaus north of Sydney Harbour, with most of the photographs taken in the Ku-ring-gai Chase and Lane Cove National Parks, the most magnificent Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden (E-mail me for details), Sydney Harbour National Park and the UTS Ku-ring-gai Campus. Some photographs were also taken in the Royal National Park. Click on one of the lists on the left hand side of the screen to follow links. P.S. This photograph is real, and is not a composite of two photographs. Flannel flowers are abundant in the Sydney Harbour National Park at Bradley's Head, where this photograph was taken. site owned by Capricornica Publications Natural History Books |
