• Europeo School of Sword bases it’s curriculum on the treatise of 15th century Italian master Phillipo Vadi. During his life Maestro Vadi had the opportunity to study under master swordsmen from across Europe. In writing his treaties on the use and study of ‘swords’ Maestro Vadi developed a truly European method of swordsmanship drawing influence from and documenting the traditions of European swordsmanship as a whole. The use of Maestro Vadi’s treaties allows for an accurate teaching of European swordsmanship without confining the techniques and methods to a particular region or nation.

  True’ swordsmanship’ or’ re-enactment’?

• Europeo School of Sword teaches all techniques true to form. We do not modify the techniques set down in Maestro Vadi’s treaties.
  
  
• To maximise safety and minimise personal risk it is suggested that student’s acquire and use in class, a mouth guard (optional) and leather gloves (mandatory). Whilst every effort is taken to ensure your safety, any small effort made toward limiting personal risk is a positive.

Europeo School of Sword welcomes not only new students but also affiliations with other sword schools and recreational groups. We also run weekend workshops to cater for groups wishing to consolidate and or refine their skills.
