I am a non-professional pianist, offering to play cocktail piano, jazz piano, most standard tunes, and old show tunes for your function. I am happy to play in any suburb aouond Melbourne.
I can also play classical piano. And it does not matter if you have a grand piano or an old upright...
You can ring me in Melbourrne, Australia on 9 434 2429, or send me an email at

My interests are: Leading the Scandinavian Choir, you can see some news here.
And here is the Scandinavian Choir , circa 30 members, which I conduct the first Sunday each month, when I am the organist in the Swedish Church in Toorak.
I also play the organ and conduct the choir (ca 12 members) in St Andrews Uniting Church, Footscray, on those Sundays when I don't play in the Swedish Church.
My organist positions have been: Marie Bebådelse, Stockholm (1963-1980), St Erik Catholic Cathedral, Stockholm (assistant, 1963-1967), St Mary's Greensborough, Australia, 1984-1989, Swedish Church, Melbourne, (1989-first Sunday each month), St Andrews, Footscray, (1993-).
I am a member of the Society of Organists, Victoria, Australia; Organ Historical Trust of Australia (OHTA); Svenska Orgelsallskapet. I went to the OHTA conference in Sydney and the Hunter Valley in 2005, and played a few organs, among them the Leigh Memorial Uniting Methodist Church, Parramatta and Balmain Presbyterian Church. These two pictures were taken by a conference delegate from France, Francois Lipinski.
And I am a keen reader of the PIPORG-L list on the web, as well as PIPECHAT, the CHURCH MUSIC DISCUSSION group and CBC.
I also enjoyed playing the Sydney Town Hall organ back in 1997, when the Scandinavian choir went to Sydney. And here I am giving an organ concert in 2000 on the organ in Sweden (30 km south of Stockholm) where my grandfather once was the organist, in Grödinge. You can see me talking about my favorite composer Guilmant from the pulpit, and meeting the audience during interval)
I was asked to come back for a new concert in 2003. Here is the program I had then. The concert was well attended, over 80 people, here is a short review in Swedish, written by one of my old Ericsson-collegues in Sweden, Staffan Karlberg. I was asked to come back in 2004. So here is my program for 2004, as you can see including conserts also in Frösö and Örebro (where I was born). And here is a little review from Frösö Church Magazine about my concert there in July 2004. Next visit 2 July 2006, here is the program. Also a duo concert in Växjö Cathedral, preliminary program.
And my first concert in my local area, Calvary Lutheran Church, Greensborough, was in October 2006. And the next concert, duos with Colin Jenkins, in July 2007.
I visited Paris in April 2007, with Sevnska Orgelsällskapet. As a result of learning to know Per Thunarf, the organist in Sta Clara church in Stockholm, I was asked to play a lunchtime concert on 11 May 2007, and again 16 July 2008, .
My concerts and other events are usually shown on http://whitehat.com.au/
I also like playing piano in restaurants like here back in 1993 with a young Yvette Johansson at the Swedish Restaurant in Southgate, Melbourne, Akvavit . Sadly, the restaurant closed around 2000. But Yvette has become very famous as a jazz singer in Melbourne, and often sings at Bennets Lane or Cheeky Mammas!
Some years ago I played (as shown in Herald Sun mid-2001) on Wednesdays at the Rose in Fitzroy .
And up til recently, I played on Wednesday nights from 7pm at The Royal Park Hotel, North Melbourne.
I enjoy being having retired fom ERICSSON in 2002, after nearly 30 years, first as a programmer, later as a manager and Quality manager-auditor.
One of my tasks rectently has been to assist Dr. Harold Fabrikant in translating a book of 327 pages from German to English. The book is by Sigfrid Karg-Elert, and is called "Polaristische Klang- und Polaritätslehre (Harmonologik)".
We have finished the work now!
The book is quite substantial, 685 pages (the German AND the English texts), weighs 1.7 kilograms, and
contains over 700 musical examples, which have been recorded on two CDs
that accompany the book. Some of the examples make great music in their
own
right, and could possibly be used as seeds for further compositions.
Instead of buying the printed book, a CD-Rom is available.
Book and CD-Rom information is available at

I also like skiing. And used to enjoy walking our dog, Emmi. (who had her life ended on 13 October 2004, 15 years old, due to a cancer in her mouth. A lump that grew and made it impossible for her to chew or close her mouth)

See pictures from Annelis and my holidays at Easter Island, April 2001:
You can see Peder, celebrating his 50th birthday, and Cecilia, one of the locals, who set up the party at Anakena beach, here. Staffan and Douglas walking in the stone factory. Anneli at the only statue with an eye, and a hat.
You can send me email. My spam-proof address is shown below, you have to make an obvious change to it.
