After making hooded towels for my two boys, and finding them so useful, I made some for my nieces and nephews and the children of friends for birthdays and Christmas. Another friend saw them and asked me to make her some for baby gifts and so I thought that perhaps others would like to be able to buy them too. My husband Mark and I decided we’d give it a go and see what happens. One thing led to another and here we are with a small business that we are very excited about. We have been very blessed with the way that things have progressed in getting ourselves established and the things that we are learning not just about a small business, but about life in general . The name of our business “eager hands” has a few meanings. One probably being fairly obvious: eager hands belonging to your children, and my eager hands making these items. But the other reason behind the name is because of a verse in the Bible that is talking about a woman who makes things “with eager hands” (proverbs 31:13). When I read that verse, the words “eager hands” just seemed to jump out of the page at me. I knew then that would be the name of my business. I’d like to say a big thank you to Mark, our boys, our family and our friends for your excitement and encouragement (and orders too!), and as corny as this sounds thanks to God too for the journey that you’re taking us on. And of course a big thank you to our two beautiful boys and our gorgeous little friend for being such wonderful ‘models’! Thanks for stopping by my website.
