Private Tuition

Private lessons are a great way for beginner drummers to learn the basics of traditional West African drumming using the djembe and/or dundun drums.   A series of private lessons is the ideal preparation for joining the continuing djembe/dundun group classes held weekly in Canberra’s inner south.

Private lessons can also suit intermediate/advanced drummers who may want to ‘brush up’, improve technique and sound, or expand their repertoire of traditional Guinean rhythms.  Students in the intermediate djembe/dundun class may want to use private lessons to cover material taught in class, particularly if they have missed any sessions.  Students who feel as though they have ‘gaps’ in their knowledge of the traditional rhythms can use private lessons to work on parts or breaks that need practice or clarification.  Drummers may also like to choose a solo to master and have this as the focus of the lesson.  Private lessons allow tuition to be tailored to your needs.

Gift Vouchers   (Click here to see a sample gift voucher)

Do you have a friend who you think would love drumming if only they'd try it?  How about giving them a gift voucher for a private drumming lesson?  Private lessons are perfect for beginners as a drum is provided and the hour session is sure to have them playing and learning basic techniques of djembe drumming in no time.  They won't believe what they can achieve in an hour!
