Send a Text Message from a computer to a Mobile Phone.
You need to have a mobile phone account and you register your phone number online for free with your carrier. Then you pay 25 cents per message per recipient. You can send messages to any phone - Telstra, Optus or Vodafone. You are charged when the message is sent even if it doesn’t arrive. Each message can be up to 140 characters. (160 characters with Optus) You can set up a group and send the same message to everyone in the group but it is charged at 25 cents per person.

3 Click Add Mobile Phone
4 Type your phone number
5 Click Submit
6 Check your phone to receive a text message with a pin number
7 Type the pin number on the computer and click Submit
1 Open www.optus.com.au
2 Click Mobile Services
3 Click More Offers
4 Click Web SMS
5 Send a Web SMS Now
6 Register
REGISTER WITH VODAFONE Web2sms
1 Open www.myvodafone.com.au
2 Click Register
3 Fill in details and click Register.
