ABOUT ME
For those who dont know me, my name is Barb. I was born in the month of July - making me a Cancerian, and Im 45 years young. I live with my partner and teenage daughter in an eastern suburb of Melbourne, Australia. I have 4 children and 2 grandchildren. You will get to know more about my family in the following pages.
I work as a Disability Instructor, with intellectually disabled adults, doing Day Programs. It can be very challenging and emotionally draining work, but I love it.
Im also involved with the local Little Athletic Centre, and this takes up a lot of my 'spare' time. I dont have kids competing, as they are now too old. I've been on several of the Committees at Little Athletics over the last 15 years, and am currently the Centre Secretary.
Recently, I've been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and as a result I'm on leave from work, and Ive dropped many of my Little Athletic commitments, but hope to get back to both in the near future.
