Issue 1 - A Rekindling of Spirit

In the town of Apocrypha, strange things are happening. Forces of life and death are gathering at a nexus point in the fabric of reality and all hell is about to break loose. The only man who can stop our world from falling into anarchy is Curtis Sixsmith, a recently reanimated cadaver. His only assistance in the afterlife is from Watermelon Joe, an alcoholic owl.

Curtis refuses to believe he is dead and tries to resume his normal “life”, but discovers that neither his workplace nor his girlfriend is very happy to see him back from the dead. Can Curtis discover why he has been killed and what strange forces are behind his murder? Can Watermelon Joe overcome his dependence on methylated spirits and rise through the ranks of the mysterious Knights of Mala? Can Curtis forgive his girlfriend, Nelly, for hooking up with his best friend just two weeks after he died?
